Imagine This was set in Warsaw during the Second World War and ran at The New London Theatre.
Imagine This told the story of an acting troupe working within the Warsaw ghetto the Nazis had created, performing a play which told the story of the Jews of Masada.
The music was written by Shuki Levy and the book by David Goldsmith and Glenn Berenbeim. It was produced by Beth Trachtenberg who sadly passed away in 2015 and was received rapturously by audiences who came to see it. It constantly played to standing ovations but ran for only a very few weeks. Plans for the production to be staged outside the UK were very much at the forefront of Beth’s mind but sadly this was not to happen in her lifetime.
